Routing in Windows

Routing in Windows

The Network
I will use the following network to explain the basics of Routing in a Windows Environment. You will need a working knowledge of Windows 95/98/NT TCP/IP systems with MULTIPLE Network Interface Cards (NICs).

These systems can be Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0. You could use Windows 95/98 for Systems #2 and #3, but it gets more complicated with more things to go wrong. I am recommending in this scenario that you use Windows NT 4.0 Server for Systems #2 and #3. For best results, use Windows NT 4.0 on all machines, Systems #1 and #4; Workstation. Systems #2 and #3; Server.
